I have lost my license, where can I find it?

If you have installed your license key to your Merlin on your Mac, you will find it in your local Application Support directory; ~/Library/Application Support/Merlin/Licenses/

In case you don’t have access to this folder, or the file had been deleted by mistake, and need to request a new copy of your license key, please use our form.

What is the Upgrade Policy for Merlin?

Our upgrade policy is very simple: All updates within a major release number (i.e., 1.x or 2.x) are free of charge to licensed owners of that major release. An upgrade fee only applies when you wish to upgrade to the next major release version number (i.e. from version 1.x to 2.x)

With the release of Merlin 2, an upgrade fee applies for Merlin 1 licensed owners. The upgrade license fee for Merlin 2.x from Merlin 1.x is 75 EUR (plus VAT). This upgrade policy applies for all who purchased Merlin 1 prior to June 1st, 2006. Those who purchased Merlin 1 on June 1st, 2006 or later are eligible to receive the Merlin 2 upgrade free of charge.

Merlin 2 license holders will receive future updates of Merlin 2.x free of charge. Please note this applies only to updates to the Merlin 2.x application only. It does not apply for any individual modules that are offered now or may become available in the future, as they fall under separate licensing.

30 Day Refund Policy

Refunds may be requested within 30 days from date of purchase. Refund requests can be sending an e-mail to For credit card purchases, a credit will be applied to the account which was used for the purchase transaction.

The purchaser acknowledges upon receiving a full refund that any continued use of the product is considered a deliberate violation of the copyright and terms of use which may result in possible legal action.
